Patrick M. Kane, PE
, has been elected as the new president of Taylor, Wiseman & Taylor. Kane succeeds Thomas M. Howell, PE, who has served as president since 2012. Bruce K. Easterly, PE, has also been named as the firm’s secretary/treasurer.
 
Cara Garofalo, MD, has been named chair of pediatric cardiology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
 
Dilworth Paxson added Nanda Kumar to the firm’s Intellectual Property group.
 
OceanFirst Bank has named Susanne Svizeny president for the Greater Philadelphia region. She was previously executive vice president and division manager for commercial banking at Wells Fargo, managing Pennsylvania, Delaware, Western New York and Eastern Canada.

Cross County Connection Transportation Management Association promoted Ronda R. Urkowitz, P.P., AICP, to executive director.

Deborah A. Hays of Archer & Greiner has been appointed chair of the firm’s board of directors. As the firm’s first female attorney to assume the role of chair, Hays will begin her five-year term on Oct. 1. She succeeds James H. Carll, who has led Archer’s board of directors for the past 17 years.
 
Thomas Kemly, president and CEO of Columbia Bank, has been installed as chairman for the New Jersey Bankers Association’s 2019–2020 fiscal year.

Senate President Steve Sweeney received the “Person of the Year” award for the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)—Mid-Atlantic Chapter at its annual awards banquet.  The CMMA is a nonprofit and nongovernmental professional association serving the construction management industry.
